Can I play offline?
Campaign and Daily Challenge practice work offline. Ranked daily challenges and online leaderboards need an internet connection.
Is this a browser game?
War of Words is available as an Android app, with an iPhone version coming soon. This website introduces the game. You can find GottaPlay’s browser games at gottaplay.net.
Are there ads or purchases?
Endless mode offers up to three optional ad-supported continues per run. A rewarded continue restores your health and keeps your accumulated score. You can always choose to finish the run instead. There are no in-app purchases.

- Campaign: 24 encounters in six realms. Endless: a boss every fifth wave. Daily Challenge: two minutes.
- Word languages
- English, German, French, Spanish, Italian and Serbian. Word and menu languages can be selected independently.
- Price and ads
- No in-app purchases. Eligible players can choose rewarded ads for up to three Endless continues per run.
- Offline play
- Campaign and Daily Challenge practice work offline. Ranked challenges and public leaderboards require internet and age 13+.
- Audience
- Intended for ages 9+. Under-13 and unknown-age players use offline features without ads or continues. The regional store rating is separate.
