Flappy: controls and playing tips
Flappy is a free browser arcade game by GottaPlay. Keep the bird airborne and pass through the gaps in the pipes. Play with a keyboard, mouse or touchscreen.
How to play
- Choose Easy, Normal or Hard and a skin on the start screen. The current version uses the Classic theme.
- Tap, click, press Space or Arrow Up to flap. Between flaps, gravity pulls the bird down.
- Pass a pipe gap to score. Hitting a pipe, the ground or ceiling ends the run.
- Use P to pause and M to toggle sound, or use the on-screen buttons.
Power-ups
Collect Ghost to pass through obstacles for six seconds, Slow to slow pipes for five seconds, x2 Points to double points for six seconds, or Float to reduce gravity for three seconds.
A steadier rhythm
Use small, regular flaps rather than a burst near the top of the screen. Aim for the middle of the next gap and leave room for the bird to rise after a flap. Easy offers a larger gap and slower pipes.
Saved scores and privacy
Your high score and preferences are stored in this browser. Clearing site data removes them. This is a local score, not a shared online leaderboard.
